3D Animation
The hail characters were created to showcase the durability and strength of CertainTeed’s impact-resistant shingles. The design process involved researching different types of hail and their shapes, sizes, and textures. From there, sketches were made to determine the overall look and feel of the characters.
Once the designs were finalized, 3D models were created using specialized software. The models were then textured and rigged for animation. The animation process involved creating the sensation of fast movement, as the characters dropped from the sky to damage unsuspecting roofing!
